STRATEGIES
parks & open space
City of Eagle Point
This project updates the 2005 parks master plan by reimaging the city's long-term approach to parks and open spaces through community-centered outreach, collaboration, analysis and design rooted in equity and inclusion.
Listening to Aspirations
Our team focused on building connections with community members and organizations to incorporate the community's voice into the plan development. We provided the community with opportunities to share feedback at multiple stages of the planning process through 8 engagement events. Engagement approaches were adapted to ensure residents across generations were considered for inclusivity and accessibility.

Visual Communication
Park accessibility maps and individual park layout maps were designed to illustrate current conditions as essential points of reference for future decision making. The “Community Context” was illustrated as an infographic to present current population data alongside natural resource considerations and historical settlement timelines, while consciously acknowledging Indigenous history.
